How much do you charge?

Sessions are $180 per 50 minute session. I accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. Payment is due at the time of your appointment. For those using their Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, your co-payment is due at the time of your appointment.

Do you take insurance?

At this time I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield and am out-of-network with all other insurance companies. You can call your insurance plan and ask about your “out-of-network” benefits. If you have out-of-network benefits, you would pay my full fee upfront and then I would provide you with a statement or “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance company. They would then reimburse you for part of my fee.

Is there a cancellation policy?

Yes, there is a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within 24-hours of your scheduled appointment, you will be charged my full session fee. In these situations, insurance will not reimburse, and you are responsible for the full-fee.

How does it work? What do I have to do in sessions?

Because each person has different issues and goals for counseling, it will be different depending on the individual. I tailor my therapeutic approach to your specific needs.

How long will it take?

Unfortunately, this is not possible to say in a general FAQs page. Everyone’s circumstances are unique to them and the length of time counseling can take to allow you to accomplish your goals depends on your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek counseling in the first place. I recommend weekly sessions initially with the option of decreasing frequency once progress has been made. This will be a decision we make together.
