Therapy is a collaborative process. It’s something that you as the client are in charge of. It’s important to understand that a therapist doesn’t give advice that fixes all of your problems. They do, however, have training and skills that allow them to facilitate change. And do this by supporting you as you create change in your life. You’re the expert on you. You know yourself better than your therapist ever could. You bring this expertise to the therapy room. This makes you the most important part of the process!
