LGBTQ Therapy in Massachusetts, New York & Florida

A PLACE FOR YOUR QUESTIONS, DOUBTS, AND HOPES.

LGBTQ therapy offers an affirming space that considers your unique experience, in a world that can keep you on guard.

Does This Sound Familiar?

  • You want to feel closer to the people in your life, but every time you think about sharing how you really feel, you second-guess yourself and decide it’s easier to stay quiet.

  • You crave connection, but even in queer spaces, you sometimes wonder, “Do I really belong here?” That question keeps you from letting your guard down.

  • In family settings, you feel stuck—walking a tightrope between staying true to yourself and avoiding conflict or rejection.

  • You scroll through social media, seeing queer friends or events, but instead of feeling connected, you feel like you’re on the outside looking in.

LGBTQ+ therapy can help you unpack these struggles and find a way forward.

Imagine This Instead

  • Feeling at ease in your relationships, knowing you can show up fully without editing yourself.

  • Building deeper connections where you feel truly seen and valued for who you are.

  • Navigating family dynamics with confidence, balancing openness and protection in a way that works for you.

  • Walking into queer spaces and feeling like you belong—not because you’ve perfected the terminology, but because you’re confident in who you are.

LGBTQ therapy offers a space to explore your identity and relationships in ways that feel affirming and empowering.

For LGBTQ+ folks, navigating relationships and connection can feel like a maze.

  • Maybe you’re constantly questioning whether you’re being your ‘authentic self’ or replaying moments where you didn’t feel understood.

  • Perhaps anxious overthinking has you second-guessing everything—from what you say to how others perceive you.

When this leads to overwhelm, it can feel impossible to open up or connect with others. But it doesn’t have to stay that way. Therapy can provide the support and tools you need to break free from these patterns and move toward meaningful connection.

How Stress Can Be Different for LGBTQ+ Folks

For many LGBTQ+ individuals, hypervigilance can happen almost automatically, shaped by the way you’ve had to navigate the world.

  • Your brain has been trained to scan situations for how much of yourself feels safe to share.

  • Day-to-day interactions might feel like a constant negotiation—deciding when to speak up, what to share, and how much of yourself to show.

  • Over time, this effort becomes second nature, making it hard to relax or trust that you can just be yourself.

You might not even notice you’re doing it—it’s just what your brain has learned to do to keep you safe. But this constant filtering can be exhausting, leading to overwhelm or pulling back when connection feels like too much. Even when you want to let people in, these patterns can leave you feeling stuck or disconnected.

Breaking the Cycle of Overwhelm

Therapy offers a space to explore these patterns and begin to untangle them. Together, we’ll work on:

  • Understanding how past experiences shape your current patterns.

  • Building tools to calm your nervous system when overwhelm hits.

  • Creating space for connection that feels authentic and safe—on your terms.

Through therapy, you’ll have the opportunity to explore what’s holding you back and build the life and relationships you deserve.

I’m Kim.

I help LGBTQ+ folks who are wary, hold back, and struggle with connecting authentically.

As a queer therapist, I understand the added layer of being LGBTQ+. Whether it’s questioning if you’re ‘queer enough,’ navigating a straight-passing relationship or showing up in queer spaces, I get how those experiences can complicate connection.

You don’t have to explain or translate your identity here. I know how exhausting it can be to decide how much of yourself to share, or to feel like you need to filter parts of your experience just to be understood. Therapy with me is a space where you can show up fully—no filtering, no second-guessing, and no need to explain yourself.

Together, we’ll:

  • Unpack the doubts and patterns that keep you stuck.

  • Learn how to build connections that feel meaningful and safe.

  • Take small, manageable steps toward feeling more confident in your relationships.
